Your group chat, around one fire.
Hearth is a small place to talk. Make a server, send your friends an invite link, and every message lands the moment it's sent. Nothing to install.

Or read out the ID
No I, O, 0 or 1, so nobody mixes them up.
Make a room. Send a link, or six characters.
Drop the invite link in a group text and friends are one tap from
inside. No link handy? Every server also has an ID like
K7M2QX to read out on a call or write on the fridge.
Whoever made the server runs it.
One topic per channel.
Keep the plans away from the photos and the long argument about pizza toppings. Admins add, rename and remove channels as the group grows, and everyone sees the change straight away.

Offline — 2
See who's actually there.
The member list shows who has the channel open right now, and a line under the message box tells you when someone is typing. Messages arrive the moment they're sent. There's nothing to refresh.
Two roles. No org chart.
Admins create channels, clear out messages and promote whoever they trust. Everyone else just talks. The person who started the server always stays an admin, so it's never left without one.
